Equipment Installation & Swaps
Equipment Installation and swap projects require careful pre-planning, management and highly skilled installation teams to ensure they are completed within the allotted outage down time window.  CAIP has the resources to provide the solution by calling upon in-house installation teams and project managers who work together closely to deliver these challenging projects.
Working within short network shutdown periods our in-house trades including PCN, Transmission, and Electricians carefully decommission the existing equipment, repackage and make it ready for transit back to store.

We have 2 centrally located logistics facilities (Manchester, Northants) where cabins and cabinets are securely and safely stored before distribution to site.  Upon delivery CAIP have expertise in a variety of methods to ensure the safe delivery of equipment to the proposed location.  For delivery locations adjacent to Highways, CAIP uses its in-house Appointed Persons and New Roads and Streetworks Act trained Engineers to safely plan and then execute the delivery.

Time is money to the Network Operator and CAIP has a wealth of experience on keeping its Equipment swap works within small outage time windows.  All aspects of the works demanded by equipment install and swap projects can be undertaken by CAIP’s in-house competent and experienced teams.
For network wide programmes requiring the removal / install of equipment to large numbers of sites over a wide geographic area, CAIP has a proven track record of supplying supplementary Project Management resource in conjunction with the Network Operator.
